Older model computers
They come out with new model computers and laptops all the time. The older models that get replaced are usually on sale online or in stores. If you use your computer for just the Internet, you don't need a high power computer.

Use fans instead
Some rooms really don't need a window A/C if nobody is really ever in the room. For those rooms at least you can try using just a fan. It can save you a lot in electricity cost each summer. If you have summer all year round, the savings can be big.

Clean with water
Use water on a paper towel to clean furniture. It gets all the dust off. The best thing is it leaves no scent.
Save on calculators
If you have a computer or a laptop, you probably have a little calculator built in. If your calculator battery goes dead, use the calculator that comes with the O/S instead.

Wait until dishwasher is full
You can probably save water and some time also if you wait until the dishwasher is full with dishes before using it. Using it at only half full all the time would use more water.

Save those newspapers
Instead of buying any special cloths to paint, you can line the floors with newspapers when you paint instead. This can save you a lot of money if you paint often or have many rooms in your house.

Use those old t-shirts
Old t-shirts make perfect dust cloths. And of course you still keep washing them even if they are worn. They seem to still last forever. You will never have to buy a cleaning cloth again.
Write on both sides of the paper
It will last twice as long if you write on both sides of paper. You can also save some trees in the process which is an added benefit.
Wait to buy games
Once computer or video games are out for a few years, the price drops big on them. If you look online, most old versions of the games get just as high reviews as the new versions. Sometimes they even score better.
